Purcell ISRAEL BAKER Israel Baker passed away December 25, 2011, days after suffering a stroke. Baker was one of the foremost violinists of the last century, and a major figure in the musical life of Hollywood. Please stay tuned for more information as it becomes available. Mr. Garabedian was an exceptional musician, well known to many of us in the Los Angeles musical community. He was a good friend, a beautiful soul, and an inspiration to us all. The New Valley Symphony sponsors the concert, where he served as music director and conductor. It will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Hall of Liberty, Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive.
